Creekside's Bashkir Curly Mares

We have an outstanding group of  Bashkir Curly Mares that we are very proud to introduce. We have taken great care in choosing not only because they are a powerful representative of the breed, but also because of their unique Sporthorse ability. It is important to us that our mares be foundation bred curlies  ( or come from foundation Bashkir Curly Lines ) to preserve the hypoallergenic qualities. This group of mares certainly is the most talented we have ever owned. We also offer Bashkir Curly bred mares for sale at times, allowing some of these wonderful bloodlines to go to other herds. We also have several Deluxe Trail horse mares in the herd, they can also produce Sport horse prospects.
All our foals can be registered with the ABCR, CSI, ICHO, AWS or Pinto Registry (if colored).

2003,  15.1HH  black bay. "Sage"  Sage was a wonderful find for us. She is a great addition to our sport program. She is a lovely mover, with a well placed free shoulder. Sired by BNC Andee ABC 2498 out of Cypress Brand ABC HB 145. We showed Sage at the 2007 Creekside Classic a USEF/USDF DSHB show. Here are some judges comments. "good march, overreach" "good joint articulation, feminine" and she received a placing of 2007 Creekside Classic Reserve Breeding Stock Mare. Since the show we have had Sage in training, she is very sensitive, and we are progressing slowly, but, we are pleased with her progress, and are looking forward to her 2008 foal due.

Mary's Half Moon aka..."Emmy"  Emmy has mature quite to our liking. She is a kind, gentle mare that has produced 2 wonderful foals to date for us.  Emmy was Reserve Champion Mature Horse at our 2006 CSI inspection. Her first colt, SkyNite's Flash of Cream "Flash" was Reserve Champion colt at the 2006  USEF/USDF Creekside Classic. Flash went on to win the CSI 2006 "Horse of the Year" for his inspection scores. We have shown this mare in hand several times, and never been disappointed. Judges comments are "even 4 beat walk, good reach in shoulder, well set on neck, good topline and shoulders" She has been started under saddle, and will resume training in summer 2008. She is sired by *Zuri ABC 2480 and out of Mead's Buckskin Mary ABC S.

DKH Summer Breeze...aka..."Breezy"  Breezy is a yellow dun mare that we purchased with her sister *DKH Black Sage...I was really only after the black mare, but when Breezy arrived, I realized we really had a wonderful gal here. Breezy has been started under saddle, and I continue to ride her here at home, she is a stellar ride, fearless and forward, and a lovely mover for the world of dressage. We learned alot about Breezy in training  ( positive and above what I had thought about her ) and she will be shown in our 2008 Creekside Classic. Sired by *BNC Andee  ABC 2498 and out of *Cypress Mischief ABC 1004. We will most likely ABC register her after her foal arrives.

Ally is a 2004 filly, a gaited filly, palamino tobiano in color. Ally not only gaits, but she has a strong forward uphill trot, quite similar to our ranch stallion "*HeartBreaker" so we fill this is a win/win match up. This filly has all the top names in her pedigree, *Spartacus, *Sparlock,*Tex of Indian Springs, WOW.....!  Ally was started under saddle in the winter of 2007, and had been picked up by Mike to be his trail horse. He has logs many miles on her already, and she proved her trail worthiness while camping for 10 days, and packing out his elk, with absolutely NO fuss.  Her gaits make her smooth, her personality ( over the top, even in the curly world ) makes her a dream to handle/train and enjoy. March 1 st 2008 foal due, We can hardly wait! We suspect she will be homzogous for curl, with her scant ( but present ) mane and tail.

*Zigahtcee's Fanci

ABC 2153
CSI C00575-96

Fanci....is a well bred curly mare, although her coat is minimal, she has full ABC papers, and produces foals covered in curl. Fanci is green broke, and may get more training this year. Fanci is leggy, short backed, a good shoulder,  and nicely forward, with good impulsion. She keeps her mane, and her tail is an "appy" tail, due to her appy lineage in her ABC papers. Sired by *The Yellow Hornet ABC 878  out of *Zigahtcee D ABC 781.  She has produced some very nice trail foals, we are waiting for a bay or black for a dressage prospect.

Update! Fanci foaled an absolutely stunning Bay Tobinano Curly Filly in March 2008. Fanci along with her filly are being offered for sale. $6,500 as a 3-in-1 package if you would like to repeat this year's breeding to HB for another spectacular foal! Click for more details

The matriarch of the ranch...I looked "matriarch" in the dictionary, yes this does apply!  We purchased Kinkle Clown in 1997 for a riding horse for our then 10 year old son. She taught him how to ride, not by being push button, but rather not being a pushover..as many times as I thought this mare would blow up, she never did! truely a gem in our book. In 1998 when we bought our first stallion, she was our one and only broodmare. Literally dozens of mares have passed through our ranch, yet, this mare stays...she is herd leader and guide, not herd boss, but instead the wise leader. Absolutely BOMB PROOF on the trail, she continues to earn her keep out of respect and effort. We have had many spectacular foals from Krinkles, and I have kept a Krinkle Clown/Skookum Buck filly ( Legacy ) for our herd improvement. Those who own her foals, know there is just something special about this line of horses. She also went camping with us last fall, and provided Mike a great support in packing out his elk. We will continue to tune up this mare for riding, and as she ages, she will be retired from breeding.

FOR SALE! CLICK HERE

Stag Creek Flitty Wren is a smokey black, curly coated 2 year old filly. Flitty is lovely, kind, has a very free shoulder, and great suspension. Flitty should mature at 14.2/3 HH. She has good manners, and has been started on some "in hand" training.  Flitty came to us on a trade, she is a fine blend of Damele and Warrior bloodlines. She resembles the color of chocolate!

"Legacy".....I can hardly say enough about this great  filly, she is the best of the best, and the last of the Skookum Buck X Krinkle Clown foals. Most horse people say you can see a horse through its eyes...Well, you should take a look then, this filly has the MOST expressive eyes I have ever seen. In our July Curly Sport Horse Inspection, the judge made the same comment! Legacy will be kept at the ranch as a broodmare prospect...for let's see, 2010....that certainly seems like a long time. Our judges comments on this filly include "nice topline, well set neck, correct trot, NICE loose swinging walk and very well mannered ( when not playing ) "....those are comments from both our show and inspection. She took home ribbons in her class, but was out shined in the Championship class, by horses that are in the nation's top five for scores. One of the best traits of Krinkle Clown is her loose swinging walk  ( the walk is the gait that you can change the least, with training- it has to be good from the start ) she passed it on here, as she usually does. UPDATE: Legacy is growing nicely, 14.1HH at 18 months, we will measure her at 2 years in May 08. Our horses that have been 14.1HH at 18months, have reached a solid 15.1HH at maturity.

Kallie...OK folks, you sat on your hands too long, and I realized that this filly, along with "Legacy" is my dream horse.and they are staying...my bonified competition horse, my dream dressage prospect...she literally has it all, plus a bit more! Color tested BLACK, covered in curl, minimal face and leg markings, she screams "SHOW ME" !  Kallie also has the typical curly personality, and willing attitude, with a certain "spark"... she is smart and loves people...what a great combonation all wrapped up in a lovely talented package. She takes the best from Sire and Dam, and we will enjoy watching her grow and mature....
